1. Cannot Install the SuperDVR Driver

    a. TD series capture card hasn’t been installed. Before installing driver, users should install capture card hardware in the PCI slot in the computer case.

    b. TD series capture card hasn’t been installed correctly. Please unplug the card and install it again or change to another PCI slot.

    c. Not compatible with PC hardware.

2. ‘Unspecified error’ in the End of Installation

    a. On English version Window XP system, by using driver below SuperDVR3.0.2, the unspecified error will appear, as the databases are not well compatible.

    b. Microsoft Windows system database has been destroyed. Reinstall windows system or try to install SuperDVR driver above SuperDVR3.1.1 to solve the problem.

    c. Relative Windows support files has been lost or been destroyed, need to reinstall window system, or try to install SuperDVR driver above SuperDVR3.1.1 to solve the problem


3. Can’t find TD series Devices in Device Manager

    a. Windows system error. Restart computer.

    b. TD series card error. Change for a valid one

    c. don’t Install SuperDVR. Pls install.


4. Why I cannot start SuperDVR after installing correctly

    a. need reboot the computer

    b. use incompatible PC. Change for a compatible PC.


5. No image or abnormal picture displayed on the screen when running SuperDVR

    a. Use incompatible PC. Change for a compatible video card or a new PC

    b. selected incorrect video system during installation. Pls reinstall and select the video system as the same with your cameras.

    c. No video signal. Pls check the cables or cameras.

    d. Hardware has been damaged.


6. How many languages does SuperDVR support?

    a. English, Portuguese, Spanish, German, Japanese, Serbian, Chinese(Sophisticated)


7. Why I can’t find the recorded files?

    a. HDD space is not enough.

    b. being deleted or other reasons have made the recorded files missed.

    c. recorded files have been damaged. It’s suggested to fix these files using SuperAVIFix program


8. Why does it delay to play back, and it’s slow to close and open the driver?

    a. Windows system problem. Try to reboot the computer.

    b. There are too many recorded files or too many fragments on the HDD, therefore it takes time to search for the files, you need delete the files that you don’t need, or need to make disk defragmenter now.

    d. Capture card problem.

    e. Computer hardware system is too out of date


9. Why I can’t play back?

    a. Windows media player has been damaged, or decoder hasn’t been installed properly. It’s suggested to reinstall the relative software system.

    b. Computer problem, recorded files have been damaged. It’s suggested to fix these files using SuperAVIFix program.

    c. The database has been missed

    d. The database has been damaged.  Pls repair the database by REPAIRDB program


10. Why do I see some gray blocks on time progress bar area when play back?

    a. User has deleted these recorded files.

    b. SuperDVR has deleted recorded file when recycle option is being chosen.

    c. Recorded files can’t be opened because the recording is on


11. Why do I see some old record sections that can’t be covered when play back?

    a. You have ever selected disk partitions different from the current.

    b. These recorded files are being played back when covering it.

    c. Database of recorded log was damaged.

    d. You have ever installed SuperDVR on different directories


12. Why I can’t download the client-side software?

    a. The client-side computer hasn’t properly been connected to Internet or LAN

    b. The server-end hasn’t enabled ‘web cameras service’

    c. The default Http port is 80. It may be conflict with other Web services, for example IIS. If true, please change another port.

    d. If use a router or proxy server, need make IP address and port mapping. Pls set the router or proxy server

    e. Windows XP SP2 will block the OCX download. You should enable ‘Internet Option à Security Settings à Download unsigned ActiveX controls’.


13. Why I cannot send email by SuperDVR when alarm triggered.

    a. The client-side computer hasn’t properly been connected to Internet or LAN

    b. Don’t enable email function and not set other options correctly. Pls refer to the manual.

    c. SuperDVR doesn’t support this email server. Pls check if this email server supports the third software, such as outlook.

    d. Firewall blocks email. Pls close firewall


14. Why the used storage every hour is different at different period?

    a. It is related with the setup. At different record frame rate, resolution and picture quality, it will have different bitrate. The lower the record frame rate, resolution and picture quality, the less the bitrate.

     b. SuperDVR use MPEG4 video compression, which is a dynamic compress. If the image is static, the used storage is most little. If the image is movable, the storage is large. That is, on different movable picture, maybe the gap of different used storage is most large.


15. Why I cannot control PTZ?

    a. Your camera is normal or you don’t connect PTZ. All our capture cards connect with speed dome by the RS232 port of the computer, not on capture card board. So you need a RS232/485 convertor.

    b. Don’t set the protocol, address and baud rate. The settings of SuperDVR need be the same as that of the speed dome.


16. Why I can’t see the images?

    a. The VGA card is too out of date. Pls change a video card

    b. Have not installed newer DirectDraw.

    c. SuperDVR cannot run in Window 98 system. Pls install Windows 2000/XP/Vista

    d. Data port or command port is conflicts with other network services.

    e. The user is connected to Internet through LAN, and the network administrator hasn’t enabled corresponding data port or command port.

    f. The client-side has installed firewall software that may stop video transmission. Pls close firewall

    g. MPEG4 codec has not been installed properly, please download new version WebCam and reinstall

    h. Bad network speed.

17. What should I do if the Internet speed is quite slow?

    a. The more channels opened, the slower the video transmission speed.therefore try to use one channel display mode when the network speed is slow.

    b. Slow the resolution, picture quality and transmission speed for remote surveillance.


18. Why i cannot make remote view by mobile phones?

    a. yours is not a smart phone. Now SuperDVR only supports smart phones and the OS of the phones must be S60 or Windows Mobile

    b. Use incompatible phone models. Now SuperDVR only supports parts of smart phones. Pls check the models supported in manual

    c. The server-end hasn’t enabled ‘web cameras service’

    d. network problem.


19. Why I cannot install USB DVR in my computer?

    a. Use an incompatible PC. Pls check the system requirements in manual and change a computer.

    b. Your computer is USB1.0. USB DVR only supports USB2.0

    c. Install other PCI or USB video devices. Pls uninstall these devices and reinstall after installing USB DVR.

    d. Install two USB DVR in a computer. Only install one USB DVR in a computer

    e. USB DVR hardware problem.


20. Why I cannot start SuperDVR after changing another USB port?

    a. If you have newer installed SuperDVR software or drivers on this USB port for USB DVR, you need install the driver on this USB port even though you have installed the driver on other USB port in this computer. Pls install the default driver by Windows installation wizard
